Marketing (Strategy) Consulting to Management Consulting possibility?

Hi all, I'm a college student and I'm taking this COVID-19 stay at home time to plan my future career path. I'm a Marketing major and enjoy market consulting after coming in contact with some of the work they do but I'm also interested in traditional management consulting as well (maybe strategy). My current plan is to join a firm as an analyst and then working up to consultant but later on, after 6-8 years I think I want to transition into management consulting. How realistic is this idea of transitioning from market consulting into traditional management consulting? I know some companies such as McK have Sales & Marketing consultants as well as Digital Marketing consultants but I'm not sure how feasible the transition would be. And yes I know that marketing pay is pretty ass compared to consulting.

Thank You and Stay Safe!
