Aberdeen Asset Management

Hi,

Has anyone heard of Aberdeen Asset Management? How does the fund compare to other small AM's? In no way do I consider Aberdeen in the same leagues as the big ones such as Fidelity or BlackRock, but how is its culture/performance/prestige relative to other funds managing about $300bn? Thanks for your input.

I have a chance at an entry-level role (non-investing/non-PM role) with Aberdeen. I would prefer to be with an ibank doing S&T, but FT recruitment has been tough this year, so this is my best shot in finance atm. Any thoughts on whether I can move back to the sell-side in a good year after doing this role (I have done summer gigs with BB S&Ts)?
