Are aircraft leases correlated with interest rates? New to the space, so just trying to figure it out.
I would think that they are. If they are fixed rate, they would price similar to a fixed rate bond, with the residual value of the aircraft impaired/benefited by the prevailing cost to buy. And the interim value determine by the lease rate, as compared to the risk free rate. Is this at all accurate?
