AM + WM Coffee Chats
When coffee chatting for IB i was told that only people from your alum base have a say. Is this true for WM, i go to Umich so can i still coffee chat a guy from NYU and him be able to have a say in the interview/internship process.

Alumni connections might make the initial outreach easier, but professionals from other schools can also be valuable contacts if you approach them respectfully and strategically.
