Thanks! Any thoughts on their record and would an exit to L/S equity HF be possible?

No thoughts on record. Movement between styles is doable generally: difficulty varies based on what kind of moves, I don't want to elaborate on precise difficulty because depends on your background and experience. There are tons of threads in the HF forum for you to snoop around on inter-style movements.

Obviously ability to prove you can short is important.

If you're interested in doing L/S equity eventually, no need to go to Sands. Sands is a LO powerhouse and has 30 years of reputation, a really great experience on resume if you're wanting to do LO or even PE. Going to L/S after that just doesn't make sense. I'd say find a L/S internship if that's what you want to do eventually.

Just received a first-round phone interview for the summer internship. Will be happy to discuss it in detail with whoever are working towards this opportunity!
