Anyone know what’s up with Dimensional Fund Advisors?

I go met with them at a recruitment event and I have been doing research on them, but I was wondering how the forums felt about them since I think I have good prospects there for an internship. If y’all have any strong opinions please let me know.

Solid shop for factor investing. The founders were former students of Eugene Fama and Kenneth French. It is as legit as it can get in regards to an academia approach to factors.

great shop if you want to be a button clicker, have no idea what stocks you're buying/selling, and have no idea whether the market is up or down on any given day.  PM department is a psuedo-sales job, after 4-5 years you'll have practically zero day to day "investing" responsibilities.  If you are passionate about investing and the markets then you'll want to look elsewhere.  If you're fine developing zero transferable skills which will force you to be trapped here for a long time or being forced to take a pay cut to move elsewhere, then i'd suggest looking elsewhere.
