Asset Management In Philadelphia

Hello All,

I am interested in Asset Management and I have a few questions I want answers to before I start looking for an internship for next summer. What is most important to me is finding something in Philadelphia without going outside of asset management. 1) What type of opportunities are available for AM in Philly? 2) Is it possible to do an internship for a big name (like JPM) and then transfer a full time offer to Philadelphia?

Does it have to be Philly proper? Vanguard's headquartered in Malvern, and BlackRock has a huge office in Princeton.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
