Asset Management in the Southeast
I go to a semi-target MBA program, and I'm looking to get into asset management.
Which firms are some good ones to look into in the Florida and Georgia area?

narrow that down some more. Like a private bank or research?
Sun Capital and H.I.G. are solid PE shops -- both in South Florida. H.I.G. also has an affiliated hedge fund group. Everest Capital is a big hedge fund group out of Miami.
Atlanta Capital is another name I have heard in the long-only equity and fixed income space. I think they have an expertise in small cap equities, among other areas.

What about some broader investment management companies in the Atlanta/Florida region, like a Mutual Fund, Life Insurance, or long-only fund?
