As the title suggests, I've managed to get myself an internship at a boutique firm's regional office, no formal application, just simply cold emailing, quite surprised I got it tbh. Anyway, it's in the operations department and I have no clue what to expect. Anyone got any experience or insight as to the work I'd be doing? I'm guessing just transaction work and risk etc. Thanks.

Expect to do alot of routine work that is important, but it gets very mundane. i recommend trying to find ways to improve the processes they have in place over the summer. lots of time and effort in back office is spent on how to make things more efficient and less costly. best of luck, make connections and dont be afraid to ask questions
