BB career progression

I'm currently working in Wealth for a BB and we are undergoing a restructuring - my role is safe (I think) as I'm front office based but I have been setting up a career move for the past year towards the COO office/strategy teams. Those teams are the teams that are being restructured... and as a result a lot of the people I looked up to/ mentored me are gone. The roles I was previously aspiring to take on also don't exist anymore. So the ground work I did for this internal move was basically all for nothing - that's what it feels like anyway. Is it worth "sticking it out" and seeing what opportunities are available after these changes occur or should I be looking elsewhere?
