BB ER asso vs EB IB asso, which one is a better path leading to LO or L/S?
Is there any difference here, both are 1.5 tier banks. It seems to me that some funds prefer IB associates even though ER does more similar work on updating earnings models and following the public market.
Or what matters most is how prestigious the bank you are working at, IB or ER doesn’t matter?
LO prefers ER people. L/S depends on the fund; assuming non-activism, non-tiger cub-esque then either works.
