Best Piece of Advice You've Received in Your Career?
Hi all,
A little background: I'm an Operations and Investment analyst working for a Retirement Plan Services team at the moment, in my Senior year graduating from a non-target school in Spring 2020 and graduating with my MBA in 2021 from the same school (4+1 program). Interested in client services, financial planning/wellness, economics and research on financial crises. Also play basketball for the school (Small D2), involved in multiple organizations where I've held executive positions (business club, student athlete advisory committee, investment club), and have been lucky enough to leverage contacts through our small business school to get informational interviews with a plethora of industry professionals and alumni. I've had a lot of help in building my career from the resources and individuals available in the business school, and feel that that has been one of the biggest benefits for me over the time I've been there.
What was the best/most memorable piece of advice you received early on in your career, and how did that impact your career from that point forward? I've asked this kind of question to many and am always interested in the insights they have to share; appreciate anyone sharing here. Thank you!
