Bitcoin: 'Digital Gold' vs 'Highly Speculative Asset'
According to Financial Times
- 'The Market Cap of Bitcoin makes no sense, supply and price do not reflect what they claim to.'
- 'Monday 4th sell of, 17% drop, only 150 Bitcoins were sold (according to crypto critics, but very doubtful in my opinion).'
- 'Inelastic supply, high volatility, no fundamentals... but increasing institutional adoption - JPM long-term price target: $146,000'
Do you agree/disagree with these points? What is your long-term opinion?

You're welcome.
It’s a difficult asset to value because it is so different. ARK have written some interesting articles and papers about ways to think of BTC from a different angle that might be of interest: https://ark-invest.com/articles/analyst-research/on-chain-data-bitcoin/
From my point of view, it is a speculative asset. One use case it seems to have is crowd sourced fundraising. It will be interesting to see if the transparency/security aspect can create some use cases (eg supply chain traceability).
