Buy Side ABS Analyst
This may not be appropriate for the IB forum but it has the most activity.
I have an interview for an ABS Jr. Analyst position on the Buy Side at a large AM/Insurance/Fixed Income company. If you think about it you can probably figure it out. I’ve been a Financial Advisor/Analyst on a wealth mgmt group at MS for the past two years. Needless to say ABS is not my wheelhouse. The listing says 0-2 years experience and after a few conversations with the guy they don’t seem to be too interested in someone with a ton of experience and would even consider someone fresh out of school, hints the Jr.
2 Questions: does any know where I can learn more about ABS? Also what advise would you give for a person who graduated in 08’ applying for an entry level position?
Thanks,
I think I've heard good things about the Fabozzi books.
