Preparing for an upcoming interview with a private debt placement team (long term,mid-market loans) at an asset management firm. At the associate level, I assume the job is very similar to mid-market corporate banking or corporate banking. How do you answer "why choose private debt instead of corporate banking?" Been thinking about how to answer this for days... really want to hear what others think.
