Does BlackRock hire for investing roles anymore??
I've seen two people of my school at BLK in equities and fixed income roles. All the others are in analytics/advisory teams, based in London. I don't know the accuracy of this take but a classmate has told me they don't hire for PM and investing teams anymore, so it's not worth going after.
Does anyone know enough to enlighten us?
I was speaking to a PM a few days ago, they do hire, they just have very very little headcount for FO Investing roles, like 3 max. Also he said they mainly only hire women now, so even when you look at most recent junior hires, they are women, he told me they are trying to reform the hierarchy at the firm and so are starting from the bottom.
Time to create a million twitter account to trash BlackRock CEO and demand he be replaced with a woman then smfh
