Everything about Asset Management Graduate Scheme

Just finished an Investment Consulting internship and was not a big fan. Hated the regional office, work ethic of co workers and service we provided. Motivated me to go harder for graduate schemes in AM. I go to a Russell Group Uni think Manchester, Exeter - 2.1 few extra ciric and some society leader roles.

Stupid question but can someone outline everything I would need to know to stand a good chance to land a role in the City for AM? How much depth of knowledge do I need? Do I need to start having my own portifolio??

Cheers
