FAANG Treasury vs AM

Hi,

Does anyone have any insight on how it's like to work as a Quant Analyst in one of the FAANG's Treasuries vs working as a developer in a small AM company. I am conflicted between these two roles and wondering which one is more prestigious and good for long-term career in finance+tech.

I feel like having FAANG on resume could open up a lot of opportunities but is the developer/research experience here well regarded by HFs and big Asset managers?

On the other hand, the developer experience in small AM would give a more direct exposure.

Any comments are much appreciated!
