Recently been assigned the financials sector to look at for investment candidates (I work on the buy side, equities). Completely new sector for me, so having to learn the accounting, valuation methods and general industry dynamics.
Appreciate it's a fairly broad sector but do you guys have any investing books / reports / websites / blogs you can recommend that specifically look at the financials sector?
Up to now, all the books I have read have been focused on your typical competitive advantages / moats and these are not always relevant in financials, it's a bit of a basket case. Any help much appreciated!
