If you didnt start out directly in fixed income investing , what type of positions feed into fixed-income investing (credit research, fixed income asset management type of roles) I am not talking about private credit. Im trying to refer to fixed income funds, trading etc…Id imagine it's something related to credit and debt in general right? Would something like corporate banking, DCM or similar feed into that industry? Please correct me if im wrong.If youve seen people go into fixed income investing please share where they came fromThank you!

I think your line of thought is correct. I've seen corporate banking, DCM, levfin backgrounds jump over to FI AM.
