Franklin Mutual Advisers losing assets
I've learned today that Franklin Mutual Advisers, based in Short Hills, NJ, has seen its AUM drop from nearly $80 billion in 2015 to only $35 billion currently. What factors led to this dramatic $45 billion decline in AUM? Was it solely due to the underperformance of value investment strategies in general, or were there other contributing factors?
I suspect not beating benchmarks has something to do with that ...
