General advice on switching to commercial credit from investment consulting.
Hi all,
I have had a pretty diverse background this far, from pursuing engineering in college to retail brokerage out of college in both customer facing and back office functions. Currently I work for an investment consultant performing manager due diligence.
I really think that my preferred career path is corporate credit at this point. Eventually on the investment side, but I wouldn’t mind cutting my teeth in lev fin for a while. I really wanted to solicit opinions from people about making such a career change and how people have generally felt about their time in credit after leaving different areas and how they got there.
