Good funds that fly under the radar?

For those in the know, can we get some insights on some great but underrated asset management firms out there? I understand the biggest funds out there will get the most attention (Fidelity, PIMCO, BlackRock), but what about other funds that have an actively managed component but are never mentioned here?

Any that are great places to work?

7xEBITDA:

Haven't seen DoubleLine or Lord Abbett mentioned much either. Both are massive funds.

Lord Abbett - oh my. A colleague of mine came from LA. Heard some funny stories about their dress code

What about Oppenheimer?

Are you looking for bigger firms with established names or smaller firms fighting for a market share to survive? There are a lot of great small asset managers
