Good reads for Series 7, 9&10

Regarding the Series 7 exam, after some searches on WSO, I wanted to confirm whether there is a FINRA approved / printed textbook on the exam similar to when you register for the CFA.

I have done some searches on Google that resulted in primarily Kaplan material, which I would like to avoid as I am not a believer in "institutional" prep materials and all its available gimmicks.

If there is indeed a FINRA printed textbook that has detailed read of the tested material, I would appreciate if someone may link to me because I cannot find it for the life of me.

It seems the dummies guide is a good reference material to supplement, which I plan on reading through first as well as skimming through what is available on Investopedia. Otherwise, am I stuck with the multitude of choices available from different distributors? ($140-220 for a 3rd party textbook) If so, I'd appreciate suggestions. I am an old school bookworm in the sense that I like to write notes and highlight A LOT.

Similar question for 9&10...and please excuse me if this is the wrong forum but when I think of AM is this not the same as PWM? Or working in a network under a B/D? Please move if I am incorrect. Thanks!
