Guggenheim Investments - any recent insights?
Using a burner account here...does anyone have intel on Guggenheim Investments (not banking, the asset management arm)? They have a couple recent job postings (structured credit, portfolio construction) that look interesting but I recall hearing mixed things about them a few years ago, although I tihnk that was more about IB. Don't know anyone there and would appreciate any insights, thanks in advance.
1) Culture - work/life balance? NY vs LA office? Has things changed since Minerd passed?
2) Trajectory? Seems like they are growing but also sold some funds to Invesco a few years ago and maybe were in play to be acquired at one point?
3) Which group would be better, structured credit or portfolio construction? Background I'm working at a macro fund currently (leaving within a year or so not worth getting into) but started my career in sellside ABS research.
