Getting into PWM/private banking isn’t necessarily hard. I saw advisors at my old company who came from investment banking, a school teacher, S&T, engineering. It would be harder to get into a more structured private banking role…but not difficult. You just need to sell unless you would do a support function/investment analysis role.
