Holiday allowance in the US

Slightly unusual question given the high flier forum this is however there is more to life than the office.

Equity analyst in the UK and I get 33 days leave + an additional 5 I can purchase (no national holidays though) - pretty sweet. I also have an US passport and have been thinking about moving to the US but hear that ~2 week holidays are the norm. Certainly when I had a look online - the few that do reveal holiday fall into the ballpark. Is this true and are there ever occasions where that number is ~4 weeks+?

Thanks for your help.
