How many users on here actually understand PE?

It doesn’t seem like many if any really. Why is that? Zero understanding of asset management, private equity, or private credit, from what I’ve seen.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there are certainly users on the platform who deeply understand private equity, private credit, and asset management. Many contributors are experienced professionals, such as Certified Private Equity Professionals, who share insights from their careers. However, the perception of "zero understanding" might stem from the fact that not all users are experts—some are students, career switchers, or early-career professionals seeking advice.

Additionally, private equity and private credit are nuanced fields requiring a mix of technical, strategic, and managerial expertise. Misunderstandings or oversimplifications can occur when users lack direct experience or rely on secondhand knowledge. That said, WSO remains a valuable resource for learning, as it hosts detailed discussions, AMAs, and guides from seasoned professionals.
