Information on Investment Management at TCW??
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had an information on TCW (i.e. Compensation, Prestige, Culture, Hours, Etc.) and if they generally recruit undergrads? I just found out I have a pretty strong connection there and am investigating if this is something I should pursue.
I know a guy at TCW, on their derivatives team. Good pay from what I can tell.
But to answer your question, they don't recruit undergrads (at least for his team). They tend to go for credit analysts with 2-3 experience.
Outside of rare exceptions I don't believe they generally hire undergrads. I have heard that prestige and compensation are both very good. Great place to work if you can get in

I searched the board for something on TCW, but came up with surprisingly little, given how big a firm it is. They've got a pretty good, detailed website, but does anyone know what it's like working there, in terms of culture, colleagues and so on?
I heard things aren't as fun these days at TCW. You can't even use a black 9" dildo as a paper weight anymore or display your porn collection next to pictures of your kids and family.
Aww really? Man, that's a shame... I guess I'll have to look somewhere else then. :(
