Alcohol and Xanax. There's no way I could swing that job, and I know two people who took pay cuts to get out of it.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

ironically my firm drug tests new hires.. haha. pretty much everyone on the desk takes something to get thru the day. it's a never ending grind. any advice for getting out of sales? I'm doing my MBA in finance at a reputable school. goal is to move into an analyst role at an asset manager like mine or join a RIA/wirehouse on their investment side. also considering IB/corp finance/consulting
