Is it difficult to land a job as a portfolio management analyst in AM at JP Morgan?

I go to a non-target public school in the midwest and I would love to be a portfolio manager at JP Morgan someday. I would like to start out as a portfolio management analyst but I'm not sure if that is a realistic goal. How many jobs like that are there? Am I better off starting in a different role?
