Is there an upcoming fintech boom?
I was talking to a startup founder today who had an 8-figure exit, and he was quite bullish on fintech companies in the investment advisory space.
He said the software tools in this industry are clunky and antiquated, and that there are a number of high-growth start-ups emerging to solve that with AI.
I'm skeptical since most "AI-augmentation" startups I've seen aren't that groundbreaking, and fintech is a pretty well-established space now. Can anyone in investment management shed light on this? What kinds of tools do you use, and have you seen significantly better tech for back office functions lately?
