London buyside from SS ER

In my second year of ER working for a top analyst in a hot sector for a non-BB bank in london.

I havent been getting many headhunters hitting me up about buyside gigs for LOs or HFs so was getting a bit concerned . Should I be the one reaching out to them or is there a better way of going about recruiting?

Hey mate,

Sorry I can’t help you but joining a desk too in LDN. Any chance you could help me out seeing the top II ranked healthcare and biopharma analysts in London please?

Yes, reach out to headhunters yourself, and even better try to network.

Ask friends/ people in your network if their firm is hiring, and if so can they put your CV forward. Going via a referral is a better way as 90%+ of headhunters in London are totally useless, unprofessional and rude (often don't have roles, waste your time, and are unpleasant to deal with).

Are generally limited openings in London, it is no where near the land of opportunity the US is...
