Based on the most helpful WSO content, lying about your GPA on your resume is strongly discouraged. While it might seem like firms won't ask for transcripts from both schools, there is always a risk that discrepancies could be discovered during background checks or through other means. If caught, this could lead to severe consequences, such as having your application rejected, an offer rescinded, or even being blacklisted from certain firms.
Instead of lying, consider these alternatives:
Leave GPA Off: If your GPA isn't ideal, you can omit it from your resume entirely. This avoids drawing attention to it while still allowing you to highlight other strengths, such as relevant coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities.
Be Honest About Your GPA: If asked, provide your actual GPA and focus on explaining any extenuating circumstances or improvements you've made since transferring to a semi-target school.
Highlight Other Achievements: Emphasize your accomplishments, skills, and experiences that demonstrate your qualifications and potential, rather than focusing solely on GPA.
Remember, honesty and integrity are highly valued in the finance industry. Lying on your resume, even about something seemingly minor, can damage your reputation and career prospects.

Transferred as well - some firms ask for both transcripts.
