Not getting much deal experience. Don't know what to do.
I'm working in the principal investing arm of a life insurance company. I've been here for half a year. The company is structured by deal teams, so you're working under one MD the entire time with an associate and vp/director. My MD hasn't brought in a deal from a new company in almost 3 years. The two analysts before me either left the company or transferred to a new team. The associate moved to work at his friend's startup. The VP is autonomous and only works with us when there's a deal going on. Essentially, it's just me and the MD.
I spoke with the analyst before me and he said that he didn't get as much deal exposure as the other two teams in our office.
I don't really know what to do. I have investment banking internships from college, but chose this job because I thought it'd be a unique experience. And ideally, if my deal team was busier, it would have been. However, I basically do 1 hour of real work every day and spend the rest of the day doing nothing. Do you guys have any advice on what I should be doing?
Seems like there's a good answer right under your nose:
Sint qui magnam qui. Sint nobis quia quia suscipit odio ut velit. Et qui saepe voluptatibus perspiciatis enim. Officia debitis consequatur et quibusdam aut nam mollitia. Doloremque alias facere dolor occaecati. Numquam blanditiis error quia qui. A et temporibus delectus iste aperiam labore omnis.
Optio ea quibusdam voluptatibus autem porro rerum. Sunt quam voluptatem dolor inventore asperiores.
Qui hic architecto quo dicta assumenda corporis. Officia non odit ad. Ut aut ratione eveniet consequatur.
