Not sure about getting an offer...
I am interning at a BB and have been doing, in my opinion, a pretty solid job. I haven't been outstanding but I haven't done poorly. I cant tell however if I will get an offer or not. My manager has not mentioned anything about an offer but he did say that the intern they had last year turned down the offer they gave him. Is it normal for employers to not mention offers for interns?
No firm will talk about who is getting an offer until the decision has been made. I got mine on the second to last day FWIW.
So stop worrying about it and keep working hard.
Agree with Illini. Obviously group dependent but in my experience, summers are usually not surprised at the news...whether good or bad. You never really know until D-day...but you usually know.
If pressed at the end of July (so 80% of the way through) I don't think any summer would say they are truly 50/50 or even 60/40 on the way the decision will go.
^^Spot on. Lots of subtle hints. No direct confirmation until the end.
From what I've seen (which, mind you, is very limited) unless you truly are doing poorly you'll likely get an offer. First in, last out, bust ass every day almost always leads to an offer.
Isn't that what Enron used?
Anyway keep working hard OP and I'm sure you'll be fine.
mark to market is what you're looking for. The entire world uses fifo...lifo is only allowed in the US and Japan.
Joke, dude. I guess my humor is lost to text.
