How normal is it for an associate to take a paycut when moving from ER to AM.
For context, I recently received an offer at a smaller boutique firm (<1B) and it is slightly less than my current pay after about 2 years in ER. I know this is somewhat to be expected with smaller firms, but is this normal across the board?
