I have an informational interview with a guy at PIMCO today who is an "asset analyst." Im a sophomore, and i'd like to work here eventually so i figured i'd start building a network. is an asset analyst more of a BO role? I'm not completely sure..i thought FO was more the credit analyst of portfolio analyst

Might be similar to Portfolio Associate which is a FO role. It sounds like a FO role. They're vastly different from the conventional set up of HFs and other firms. In a good way tho. Ask more about his role and the steps he took to get there. You'll be able to figure it out after talking with him.
