Private Banking: Banker role vs. Investment Mangement role
post-MBA Associate PB gig: Banker(Relationship Manager) vs. Investment Management
Can anyone share color on exit opps. from the IM side vs. the RM side? The forum keeps saying that PB Bankers can only move to another PB Banker role, it's about the book of clients, etc. What about the Investment Management side?
I know the IM side is not Institutional/sexy investing, but it's a good start in AM and I think I'm more interested in fixed-income, portfolio balancing, etc. than I am gaining wallet share/lending/private banking roles.
