Questions about Vanguard

So I have an upcoming interview with Vanguard. After some web searches, I couldn't find much about the culture at Vanguard or why people choose to work at Vanguard. Would anyone be able to provide some insight here?

Just the overall culture, what I'm really interested in is Investment Management but I'm applying to the College to Corporate internship and then they would place me in a division they see fit.

Vanguard basically pioneered the index mutual fund passive investment world for retail investors, their culture is to put the investor above all else.

I have a tender spot in my heart for cripples, bastards, and broken things

Vanguard is mutually owned so it operates in many ways like a nonprofit. A MBA classmate of mine worked there and said it can be quite bureaucratic and slow moving at times. Also keep in mind that you'll either be working in Valley Forge or Phoenix. Neither of those rank high on my places to live list. That being said, the quality of life (putting aside the cities) is high and they do have a good reputation.
