Real Estate Research (in AM).

Hey everyone.

I get the argument that anything is possible with luck and some hardwork etc but I wanted to be more realistic.

Is it possible to move from Real Estate Investment Research position to another asset class team? E.g. Equities Invesmtent.

The role I am going into now is at a large AM firm and the research is top down so I won't get to do asset level modelling/analysis.

Took the offer as I had nothing better but now not sure if it was the best decision given Real Estate isn't my end goal/passion (I do like it but it's not #1).
