Recent grad recruiting due to current job misrepresentation
Hi guys, looking for advice here. I just graduated this past May and have done internships in IB (MM), PE, and Investment Management. I accepted a FT job offer and recently started it, however the actual job was completely misrepresented from what I was actually looking to do. My experience so far has been pretty valuation/quantitative, although I have done other internships that were more strategy than anything.
What would you all recommend the steps to take here? In all honesty, I'm still open to a very wide net of opportunities here as long as its still in finance, however I absolutely know that the current job is not good for me. The big issue I'm running into is that most of the job openings I've found or are posted are for 2025 grads, or people with 1+ years of experience. How do I troubleshoot this?
Appreciate any and all advice everyone!
