Referring a friend to contact at another firm
Hello WSO,
This past fall I was at a finance conference and I met a VP at an upper-tier AM (think AB, BR, CG, etc) . We connected very well, though I didn't get a chance to apply to his firm as I had already accepted another offer. I told a friend who is looking into a career in AM about the firm- is it professional to refer him to my contact? Though we hit it off, I did only meet him once.
