Renewables Fund Asset Management and Origination-mixed role Query

Hi All,

Have an upcoming interview for a particular role that does both the AM and deals/origination function (with AM to be considered more of the day-to-day as opposed to origination of the projects).

I just wanted to get a sense check on whether these AM sub-bullets from the PD are 'legit' akin to a normal coveted AM role?

Below are some broad bullet pts (removing ones that might be sensitive to location etc). They read both fairly investment-related but also quite BO-support heavy?

Renewables Assets – Asset Management:

  • Discover opportunities to drive value and mitigate risks on renewables assets by utilzing financial models and associated valuation models.

  • Review operating and capital expenditure and payment functions (during and post construction), regulatory and tax lodgements with the Finance/Ops team.

  • Review annual budgets provided by asset managers for assets to understand and approve key assumptions.

  • Understand the commercial and contractual aspects of renewables assets, including managing payments, proposal, and budget-related activities.

  • Co-ordinate valuation processes for renewables assets, including independent valuation and any expert forecast work and roll-forward of monthly unit pricing with the Finance/Ops team

  • Support with the preparation of reporting activities including preparing relevant sections on asset performance

  • Update asset models on periodic intervals to take into account key asset assumptions, changes in any fee structure, or changes to discount rates.

  • Review incoming payments and construct of managing streamlined processes for payments.

  • Support capital raising initiatives for renewables assets

  • Support with any refinancing activities by providing requested information as part of any operating asset due diligence refinancing process

Would appreciate any feedback!

Also - if this is a pretty nice gig - anything I can do to prepare for an interview?

Thanks!
