State pension fund exit opportunities
I've been fortunate to get an offer for a full time position out of undergrad at a State Pension (top 10AUM) as an Investment Analyst on the global equity team. (Equity + PE).
I'm looking to eventually work in asset management. What are typical exit opportunities for analysts at pension funds after a few years. I intend to get my CFA and I'd consider going to get an MBA.
I know I can build great relationships, but my primary concern is that I'll be limiting myself in the Limited Partnership/FoF world. I'd eventually want to make the jump to the GP/Money Manager level.
Thanks
richspider20, shame nobody has responded. Maybe one of these topics will help:
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
Hi, I'm facing the same situation and having exactly the same concerns as you. Would like to know if you've ever found more about exit opportunities post pension. Thanks!
