Thoughts On Aviva Investors UK

Hey everyone. Was wondering what everyone’s thought’s were on Aviva investors in the UK. They have decent AUM (334 Billion) and are 8th largest in the UK.

Any thoughts on their fixed income division would be appreciated i.e. is it well respected? Can one move to more reputable AM firms like blackrock, vanguard, PIMCO etc

Since it’s the investment arm of an insurance company not sure how it’s perceived in the industry.

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

Growing real assets/private markets biz and importantly has robust flow of balance sheet capital to support growth. There is a reason all the PE firms are rushing to buy insurance firms (but not without increasing regulatory scrutiny). I think the guy who leads fixed income has a good rep

Can someone shed some light on what the risk appetite is of these large insurance investment arms? Are they aiming to generate significant alpha?

Sure with a pot of money that size from insurance premia you'll be active across all asset classes, but I can't imagine them leveraging up for big buyouts!
