Trading in personal account

Hi Monkeys,

Currently at a shop that doesn't allow investing into single stocks... Never knew how much I missed investing until I was prohibited, especially seeing the deals on the market currently. Question for you, does your firm allow you to invest in your own account for single stocks? Size of firm (employees / aum) would be appreciated!

Other

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
