Based on previous WSO threads, here's what you need to know about the Vanguard College to Corporate (C2C) Investment Management Internship interview process:

  1. Initial Phone Interview with HR:

    • This is typically a 45-minute phone screen.
    • Expect questions to be primarily behavioral, focusing on your resume, experiences, and motivations.
    • Be prepared to answer questions like:
      • Why Vanguard?
      • Why investment management?
      • What makes you a good fit for this role?
  2. Key Tips:

    • Research Vanguard's mission, values, and unique structure (e.g., their client-owned model).
    • Be ready to discuss your interest in investment management and how your background aligns with the role.
    • Highlight any relevant coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities that demonstrate your skills and interest in finance.
  3. Next Steps:

    • If you pass the HR screen, you may proceed to additional interviews, which could include technical or case-based questions depending on the role.

Good luck with your interview!
