Vyvanse and Adderall in Sales

Hey guys, curious how many of you in sales, s&t, or in a a very outward facing role with quotas and or dial requirements are prescribed these for adhd. Also curious how you find it helps or doesn’t help.

It seems like half my sales fellas are on it legitimately and another small portion are taking it illegitimately but I doubt my work environments are the norm.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that some individuals in high-stress, fast-paced roles such as sales and trading do use medications like Adderall to manage ADHD symptoms. One trader mentioned that they take Adderall and likened its effect to the "Limitless" type of reaction, helping them to focus amidst the chaos of their work environment. However, they also noted that another medication, Concerta, negatively affected their mood.

On the other hand, a professional who transitioned from community college and fast food to a highly active PE fund stated that they don't use Adderall and don't believe it can improve performance. They even avoid coffee due to its effects on their mind, emphasizing that drugs can't fix laziness.

So, it seems that experiences and opinions on the use of such medications in these roles can vary greatly. It's important to remember that these are personal experiences and may not reflect the norm. Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any medication.

It certainly helps if you have ADHD. I'm on 15mg rn it only makes me calm and focus. I used to like the invincible feeling of 30mg but I figured that I just want to take 30mg to get high so stopped doing so.

Interesting I’m guessing that’s aderall? I’ve been getting vyvanse after being diagnosed within the last year and it’s had interesting effects on my conversational skills. Some pros and cons but I’m not sure it actually is helping or I just think it is. They put me on 40mg which seems like a lot so I’ve been splitting them and not using it on fridays.

Are you more focused on analytical work and research or are you more business development and outward facing?
