Why is comp not higher in the WSO Company Database?
I kept hearing that Analysts at larger asset managers were making $1 million+ a year, but on the WSO database, all I see are numbers for analysts between $200k and $400k, and for Senior/MD/VP level folks from $300k to 650k. I checked out Fidelity, Wellington, Capital Group, and even some of the Hedge Funds like Citadel and Millennium.
Also, does having an MBA make an impact to comp? I have a CFA and buy-side experience, with a bachelor's in physics from a non-target, but no MBA. Trying to gauge if it makes sense for me to pursue an MBA.
Would appreciate some insight. Thanks!
Where did you hear that an analyst can make 1 million dollars a year? lol
